Plastic not coming out

Post by Ieesha » Sun Aug 28, 2016 4:17 pm

I have a Rostock 301
I am having more issues with my printer the extruder is heating up but no plastic filament is coming through the extruder.
I have checked the nozzle is not blocked and the filament is feeding through.
Can some one please make any suggestions,

Hi,
Make sure your PTFE tubes are inserted on the bottom of the 3 metal tubes. And you can take down the fans on extruders and check if the extruder motors move when you extrude in Repetier Host.
See Sam's post,i think you can try clear the clogging with your Ejector Pin:

I have tried all of the things that you suggested and followed the instructions on the link, but still not working.
I am seriously fed up with this printer I have had nothing but trouble and still not had anything print.
I am now at a point were I want to return it for a full refund as no matter what it will not print anything and has been problem after problem.

I have attempted all the suggestions you have made, followed Sams link and even gone through the same procedures as Rostock 301 Failure posted, but the printer head just clogs up and will not print.
So far this printer has been nothing but trouble, had to replace stepper motor, there have been screws missing which I have had to buy, and still the printer will not print.
I have quite frankly had enough and am either wanting it sent to someone who can fix it and ensure it runs properly or a complete refund as my daughter requires a 3D for her school work.
This printer has been the worst purchase I have ever made and I have again and again followed your instructions to the latter but it still will not work.
I would like this solving as soon as possible either refund, return it and you fully test and get it working then return it only once repaired and fully working

We have followed the instructions and unclogged using the tool the provided.
When you turn it on as soon as the filament starts to feed the melted filament then back flows and clogs the other 2 extruder nozzles.
We again clear the clogs try again using repiter host software to print a model and again it clogs and nothing prints.
Please send an email address and I will send you the video you are requesting really not sure what you think a video is going to do.

Hi,
It's william.guo@geeetech.cn.
Actually,i wanna ensure something i mentioned before,so i need the video...according to your description,there are 3 possibilities:
1.The extruder motors didn't work fine,so i told you to take down the fans on them so you can observe if it worked fine when you extruded.
2.The PTFE tubes were not inserted into the metal tubes deep enough, the inserting length is about 6cm.
3.The nozzle size itself has a problem like Sam's issue(but you denied it in your posts).
The 3 reasons are the key to caused the clogging,so you'd better have a double check, which is what i'm emphasizing all the time.
Sorry for the inconvenience to you.
Best Regards

As per your email

Morning,Jasmine
Sorry for the late reply.

Having watched the several videos you uploaded carefully,i agree with you. Maybe it's the nozzle size caused it. Replace the nozzle with another one to see how it goes.

I've told the seller to send you a replacement nozzle, you can contact her to confirm it.

Please let me know how it goes after you receive the replacement.

So sorry for that.

Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards
William
