Re: RUMBA Board
It looks clean, there are not solder bridging any points. Is this a software fault? Can I reset the firmware to address the problem? If so how?

Re: RUMBA Board
I managed to place a jumper on T0 and it force the readout to jump to 0 degrees. When i did that the err code changed from a max temp err to a min temp err. Is the board faulty?

1.Did you configure firmware parameter like the Rumba Users Manual shows?
http://www.geeetech.com/Documents/Rumba ... manual.pdf
If you've done that, look the following tips:
2.Unplug the two thermistor's cable from the board, then see how the temp on the LCD displays?
3.Measure the voltage of the two pins of T0 with a multimeter.

Re: RUMBA Board
Thanks for the assistance. Resolved the MAXTEMP error. It was a firmware setting issue.
Re: RUMBA Board
Could you tell me more details about how you resolve it?brisrascal wrote:Thanks for the assistance. Resolved the MAXTEMP error. It was a firmware setting issue.

Re: RUMBA Board
It was the code used. There was a hyphen before the thermistor assignment creating the conflict.
Re: RUMBA Board
hi, 12 months later i came accross this post (today), i've been googling the woffle and the by the by on this subject for a few days now...to no end.
basicaly i bought a rumba boar, it wouldnt not conect to any programs, in divice manager it was there (it's never shown up as an actual SD device) and contected and posted on forums and tried the drivers etc etc, which btw at the time were alarming my virous scanners,
so adter the two week debate about disabling scanners as it was a false hit i installed the asaid driver, with in 8 hours 20 gig vanished from HD ....so a reformat later and back to square one with it all i gave up..
2 weeks later i got a reply stating, if it's showing up in the device manager then the dodgey drivers arnt needed...cagerly i conected up to my computer and magically every conected, programs and all...
untill 3 days ago, when i switched off..came back and hmmm woopy do divise manager sees it but no program known to man nor neasty will..
so..............there are numerous ( a f**k ton actualy) of posts questions, topics and the like and they all say the same old ferkin.
'have you tried a cable'
'have you tried installing.....' (with no usb conection its an insult to even sugest it)
'its the driver, install the only one from the wiki page'....(used to nick your hd storage but there was no virous etc etc blahdy blahhh)
and a load more saying ''it just stopped working'' and of course ''magicaly it just started, then just stopped then just started..'
so after 3 IT guys and my lowly self go through a heapa doo doo on my pc, run as admin, run in 32 bit 64 bit reasign change this that and ffffffffffffffff still dont work.
everything sugests the usb driver is not comunicating with the programs in some way...(arduino says it's in use, simplyfy3d and the others say error error error will robison) but, heres the kicker, they all automatically detect the com port it's on and indded even the baudrate....so it is comunicating??
btw, there is a win 10 update happening about the time as these 'as if by magic' starts and stops in funtionality.
so...non the wiser, addled by side tracks and no pc connection again....the pc conection being one of the very functions advertised, and one of the very same reasons this particular board was selected and purchased.
so? whats the update here gents and manufacturers?
in all reality can you exspect to sell many more posably/possably not defuct boards, but in the mean time it'll stop you printing for months on end? then perform flawlesly..
i for one will NOT BE be purchaising from greeetek again..the bull shit has indeedly taken it's tole.
and finaly? whith such an apparently obvious problem, why on earth do all insudry suddenly 'not know anything about it'..thus endorsing shoddy good's for your purchase in future, after all you like crap.
i'm very anoyed....
