GS2 Pro Y/Z Axis problem

Post by devamp » Sat Jul 30, 2016 8:38 am

Hello,

For some reason when I try to home the GS2 Pro through the repetier host software the hot ends move towards the X-axis rods.

I believe the Y and Z axis are moving downward while the X-axis is moving upward creating the move towards the X-axis rods.

I labeled all of my cables and checked the diagram several times. All my wiring is correct.
I'm pretty sure I need to make a change in the configure.h file, but I don't know what I should attempt to change.

I tried to Y-axis troubleshoot in quick setup guide, but there was no change.

Any suggestions?

Hi,
You mean you may have a wrong direction in Y axis and Z axis?

According to what you said,i think there is another possibility that the X motor moved but another two motors didn't move, which would cause a accident like this.So you'd better double check if there is a wrong direction on the motors.

In addition, you can refer to it to modify the wrong motor direction:

I tried the soltuions in the link you supplied but nothing helped.
I can manually move all the motors in the repetier host software, but when I try to homing in the software only the x-axis motor moves.

The other problem i'm seeing an endstop notification on the LCD when no endstop has been hit.

I'm not to sure what to do at this point.

Hi,
I think you'd better check the status of your endstops, refer to this:

I have been trying to get my Rostock Mini G2S Pro working for a couple of months. My problem is if I try to just move the Z axis the Y axis moves instead. I have checked the wring, the X moves correctly, Y moves correctly but when I try Z alone Y moves. All 3 move when correctly when homing.

Was there a wrong connection between the Y motor cable and the Z motor cable?

No, I believe it has something to do with the endstops.
I tried troubleshooting but no luck so far.
