Hello,
I got to step 17 on the assembly of my I3 Pro C. When I got to the part about mounting the linear bearing on the X-axis motor end the linear bearing interferes with the Z nut. There is not enough room for both the Z nut and linear bearing. I tried the other linear bearing supplied in the kit and that one does not fit either. I removed the Z nut and just tried to loose fit both parts in the motor end and they don't fit. I thought this very odd and tried to fit the parts on the X-axis idle end to see if the motor end was the problem. They don't fit on the idle end too. I also noticed that the finish on the linear bearing is different between the two parts I received. Very different. Looks like a completely different supplier. The plating is not even close and the tooling finish on the parts is very different. I measured both Z nuts and linear bearings and took pictures for your review.
At this point there is no way that they can be assembled. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong with the assembly. I'm going to look into trying to find someone who can machine a flat section on the side of the Z nut to try and get the clearance needed. Hopefully you can figure out the problem from the pictures as this is a show stopper for me in the assembly and I'm guessing anyone else who got the same parts as I did.
Thanks,
Grant

About the linear bearing size,it is a little different, cuz it comes from our different supplier,as you saw it just differs about .1mm and i think it makes no big difference .And i think you can check the building instruction once again in case you have missed something. Finally, please shoot the last two pics from the perspective of above to below if necessary.
Good Luck

Re: Mount the X-axis motor end problem on Pro C
Hi,
The problem is definitely more than 0.1mm of interference. I already fixed the problem by grinding a flat edge on the z nut. Not the best way to fix the problem but it worked. I would look into the problem as this would create a lot of complaints from people who may not have the ability to grind the z nut to fit.
Here is a picture of both assemblies from a top down perspective. You can see how I fixed the problem and can easily use the picture to measure the size of the interference based upon the known size of the z-nut.
I am now waiting on some missing parts so I can finish the assembly. I was told that a correct extruder bracket and replacement fan has been sent. I am keeping my fingers crossed that everything else will go together without incident.
