REPETIER HOST CURA PROBLEM

Post by hooked » Sat Feb 20, 2016 8:45 am

Hi,

I have been using Repetier Host with Slic3r. I tried using the Cura engine and have a problem that I want to fix.

When I slice the job and then print the following happens:-

1. The print head moves to the bed as if to start printing.
2. The print head does not move in X/Y direction.
3. The filament retracts about 100mm.

Occasionally I have had it print without the above condition. As I want to use Cura as my preferred slicer software, I would like to resolve this issue.

Any advice will be well received.

THANKS

Daryl

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply. My printer is a G2 and works fine running Slic3r.
I have since found a resolution by Google search.
In the Start code of Cura, the command G92 E0 must be entered. Then Cura works fine.

Cheers

Daryl
