Using the 2-in-1out hotend with a G2s Pro
Seriously think about buying the 2-in-1out hotend, but I won't even consider doing so until I know exactly what are the Marlin Firmware's settings adjustments required to use this 2-in-1out hotend with a G2s Pro? There's not much info on it. Does it have two thermistors (one for each extruder), or just one thermistor shared by the two extruders? If only one thermistor is used, how is that set up in the firmware? Please advise. Thank you for your time.

just one theimistor, so the filament should be the same material, indeed more like a single extruder printer.
But the control system is totally different, M201 is based on the GTM32 system, not marlin firmware, they are not compatiable.

So it is not compatible with the G2s Pro? But in the video on the hot-end's page shows what it seems like a G2s Pro using a 2-in-1 hot end. Why?
Re: Using the 2-in-1out hotend with a G2s Pro
actually G2S pro is a dual extruder printer, maybe is the angel.

Re: Using the 2-in-1out hotend with a G2s Pro
What is the recommended extruder feed rate/flow rate and printing speed (using 1.75mm ABS filament) for the 2-in-1-out hot-end? I can't seem to get it 100% right so far.
Thank you very much for your help!

just tested with ABS a few times, but I can give you my settings here for reference.
(my settings for ABS, using repetier1.6.0 and 1.75-0.4 ,single I3X printer.)

Is that configuration for a "2-in-1-out" hot-end? Looking at it, it seems just like a regular hot-end configuration. Even the toolchange retraction is set at 10mm when it should not be greater than 2mm for a 2-in-1-out hot-end. Maybe you shared the wrong config file?
Re: Using the 2-in-1out hotend with a G2s Pro
Nope, cause the 2-in-1-out has only one hotend and the colour is gradually changed, so I think that function is not actually used during the print job.
And you can see my M201 settings here, they are the same.

Hi Mark, you are absolutely right about the code generated by Slic3r.
I myself bought 2in 1 hotend I mounted it temporary on to G2S 3d printer and tested it couple of times. I will make a new mount for the G2S 3d printer and post STL file on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1266600. It is rather tricky to make it work.
2in 1 hotend extruder has one temperature sensor and one heating element. In order to make it work, you have to change marlin firmware. (I will update this post with instructions on what to change) Good instructions you can find: http://reprap.org/wiki/Diamond_Hotend After changing the firmware, I made it work. Now, I am running into the problem with Slic3r generator, or any generator or software printer settings. Manual controls work just fine. Every time I am using two extruders, printer starts working, as long it prints on Extruder1 E0, everything works just fine, as soon as it tries to get to extruder2 E1,the head moves up and out of the printing area and hangs in the air, then continues to print. Need help with that issue. It has something to do with Slic3r. Mark, what settings do you use? Can you plz post your Slic3r config file for 2in 1 hotend extruder?

I'm away on my holiday these days so I'll give you the settings later. But the extruder2 drives the Z axis when printing, I think you can check out this link:
