Problem with Y axis
Problem with Y axis
Hi,
I have a I3 pro C and I already print some parts on my printer in the past. Now, when I need to print another pieces when I start the printer today, when I do autohome the Y axis start moving extremely fast and doing much noise on moves.
So I would like to know what´s happening with the printer and what´s the problem.
It´s a problem of any piece in specific??
Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: Problem with Y axis
does the driver working well? and the motor, is it wroking well on the other axis?
Re: Problem with Y axis
I reinstall the firmware and already put the i3 B firmware, but keep the same problem.
I tested too change the motor of Y axis but stayed with the same problem...
I really don't know what´s happened with this...

Re: Problem with Y axis
step by step to check it:
1) check the motor. Plug the motor to the X axis connector, if it's working well on X axis then motor is good.
2)check the motor driver. Interchange the driver with the X axis one, if the same thing happens in the X aixs motor then the driver is dead or voltage is not proper, you can adjust it.
3) check the formware, you need to install the one for your I3 pro C not pro B.
4) also check the subdivision of the driver, check this link:
http://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopic ... 17&t=17038
5) the last one, if the firmware, motor driver, motor cable and motor itself are all in good condition, then maybe the board is defective, need to replace it.

Re: Problem with Y axis
1) motor is good
2) driver is good
3) I reinstall again the firmware
4) i dont change the power of drivers because i test it with the driver of z axis and x axis and always have the same problem
5) the cable its ok too, i test it with other cable. About the the board if it had some defective do you know what can cause this. Because i buy my printer on May of 2015 and i think its not normal the board take some problem in a too short time, and with only 1 coil of filament until now...
Thank you for your patience.

Re: Problem with Y axis
don't know the reason but a friend run into this problem too, the Z axis of his printer works fine during the home procedure, but when you manually comtrol it, it will run pretty fast and need a emergency stop. Changed a new board and it's working.
Re: Problem with Y axis
On the Y-axis please check the bearing at the belt, if ti wobble. Maybe needs replacement. Additionally check travel speed: 130mm/s is working fine 300mm/s also causing my Y-Axis this wobble and miss align form time to time. maybe driver. Also to much tension on the belt could be a problem.
