Extruder threaded rod
Extruder threaded rod
I believe I clogged my extruded and when I cleaned it out a piece of tube came with it. I threw this tube away. Now I relize this kept the filament from backing up and clogging the whole threaded stem. How can I get this threaded rod and tube replacement without buying the whole extruder. Thank you. Prusa i3 x

you can try to heat up the hotend and use the drill to clean it up, but becareful not to burn yourself.
And the tube, it is the same material with the guide tube on your extruder, just cut a piece of it, no need to buy it.

Re: Extruder threaded rod
If you have a Geeetech Mk8 extruder, you want a M6x38mm threaded extruder tube with teflon PTFE liner. You can use a 30mm threaded rod but it will make threading filament tricky and there will not be as much clearance under the hot-end. You can get these from Amazon if you are in a hurry and don't mind paying extra (I was and didn't) or you can buy them from eBay or Geetech and wait several weeks unless you want to pay for DHL shipping. When I fried mine, I bought some shorter ones on Amazon and then ordered a bunch of th ecorrect ones from China. Never hurts to have more spares....trust me, you will need them eventually.

I said mk9 extruder. I meant to say Mk8 extruder.
