heatbed maximum temperature?
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
I can't find a gap between them. Might be the resistance of the bed is a little high. but never mind since I can print both with PLA and ABS, so far so good.
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
If the resistance only is problem - use The Low of Ohm: if you rise voltage, power will rise too on same resistance.
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
exactly, but the power output is 12V already...no luck
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
Right now I am not sure how it is powered - by PWM or just on/off.
If second way, - a simple relay will help you and others. Just connect this relay, rated for 16 A current, instead of heating bed, and control it trough other power supply, intended for heat bed only. You can use any volgate you want. In the same way you can use electronic switch, without any contacts inside.
If there are the PWM controlled circuit - it is another story.

Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
controlled by the PWM guess the only way is to get a new bed
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
Yup.
Still there are the way to happiness.
If code for GT2560 or other board used is open source:
Find PWM multiplier constant in module which controls the width of pulse, and add some lenght to pulse time.
Not sure, but may be you must correct a bit ghisteresis of regulation too, shotten it a bit, may be not. But I suppose you need to check for more quick response to temperature change in this case.

Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
Hello all,
say me, please - what is a correct voltage for hot bed? On my I3X I measure 10.1V and maximal temperature is about 97°C only.

Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
should be about 12V, 10.1V is a little low. How about increase the output of the PSU a little bit? Rotate the trimpot on the PSU and you'll change it.
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
I was asking in a parallel thread, that I've noticed. How high can I raise the power supply without endangering'd electronic control board?
Re: heatbed maximum temperature?
the board is capable of 12V-24V, but the other parts, like bed and heaters can only work at 12V, so don't increase it too much, I can't for sure as I haven't done this before.
