G2S Pro troubles with homing, movement.

So, I'm kind of stuck. I poked around as I could, but didn't find any information that seemed to offer a solution for the troubles I'm having.

So, I got the thing built, wired up. When I try to home it, through the LCD screen (Autohome) or through software (using Simplify3d), the arms go down in the wrong direction. Well, they go down instead of up. I tried uploading the firmware with all 3 axis flipped, but it doesn't want to seem to flip the y axis, it will flip the z and x axis though. It's like the Y axis is afraid of heights and just wants to do everything it can to get down low. Maybe it has aspirations of being a limbo champion... who knows.

Would anyone be willing to help me troubleshoot the problem? I tried looking around and found different sources for the firmware, but none of them seemed to act differently from the last. If I do that M119 command, it shows the stops as open, except the probe, which would show as triggered. I'm not sure what the at rest state should be, but I assume they are correct based on what I have read. I tried moving each motor one to the right, and the behavior was the same, so I don't think it's the stepper motors. If I flip the axis, they each flip correctly, except for the y, which wont flip at all.

Trying to use the move commands in simplify3d, and it seems like the Y axis only wants to move down.

Well, I got it down to two problems.

I flipped the belts, and so stock it goes the right way without having to flip the axis in the firmware. There's two issues that remain though

The Y axis only moves in one direction.

The X axis max end stop seems to have issues. It shows as triggered, though it isn't. Sometimes it shows fine, sometimes it doesn't.

Neither of these issues is with the switch/motor, as if I switch the motor/switch, the issue persist on the same axis.

Just a quick update.

I went in to the firmware and changed the Y axis so it's on the second extruder's pins. I swapped them, more or less, and now it homes correctly. The Y axis moves in the correction direction, up or down. So, I'm guessing it's some fault with the board. Where the default spot for the Y axis motor, it doesn't change directions, only goes one way. Do you know how hard it'd be to get a replacement? Or am I just stuck purchasing a new board?

Did you plug the Y endstop in the Y MAX? I plug my X endstop in the X min, then it will only goes in one direction.

This might be a bad contact between the endstop and the board.

The end stops are all plugged in right. I actually managed to get a few prints out last night. I'm a little upset, since the one axis seems to be fried. Right now the second extruder spot is reassigned to the Y axis. It works. The printer will home, and then I can also do the auto level. It seems finicky, like sometimes it works fine and other times, I don't know. I need to tweak it still.

But I think I need a new board, because of the Y axis plug not working, and because of the X max end stop acting funny. It's something on the board side, as plugging in other switches/motors gives the same results, where as those same switches and motors work fine on a different axis.

Does Geeetech have any sort of warrenty where I can get a replacement board? Or do I just have to foot that cost myself and hope for the best? I purchased my kit off ebay from a Chinese seller that has a warehouse in the USA.

I like this kit though. I need to figure out how to set it up better with simplify3d. Right now on the prints I did manage to print out, once the print was over the motors disengaged and the print head crashed into the printing, causing damage to the print. Oops. I need a better ending script.

I did as you suggested. I also added the G29 command so it'd home the print head up to it's top position once finished. I've been getting prints out, and they're not too bad! I have another board coming too, so that should help clear up the last of my problems.
