G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
I have a Geeetech Rostock G2S Pro (metal) printer. I am searching for the source code for the firmware which was originally installed on the GT2560 controller when it was shipped.
Printrun reports:
"Marlin1.0.0"
echo: Last Updated: Aug 19 2015 20:41:08 Author: (Eddie, Delta)
Before I try to upload a new build of the firmware from the downloaded file RKMB_GT2560_G2S.zip I would like to have the source for the original load so that I can compare what has changed from version 1.0.0 to 1.0.3, and to have it available if something goes wrong and breaks something.
Does anyone have the source code or know where I can down load version 1.0.0?
Thank you

Thank you for your response, but the link that you provided points to the source code for version 1.0.3 which I indicated that I already downloaded and reviewed.
I am searching for the source for the firmware which is currently loaded on the GT2560 as it came from the factory for the Rostock Delta G2S Pro.

oh, I didn't notice that before. but we're using the 1.0.3 for G2S pro now.
Re: G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
I have discovered that if my X, Y, Z is set to 80 Steps/mm the X and Y movement is off by about 14% but, the Z axis is accurate.
So as a work-around I have been setting the X & Y Steps/mm to 68.8 and scaling the Z axis for every file I print.
This is a work-around I am getting tired of.
So... I too would like to have the original firmware that came with my G2s, before uploading any new version.
Surely, you can see the importance.

Re: G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
I too need the original firmware that came with the machine... for the same reason.
My G2s was NOT set up properly at the factory... prints quite well but, movements are not accurate. Z Axis movement is accurate but, X & Y are not.
I created a work-around but, tired of having to adjust scale for each file loaded.

Re: G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
My G2S pro is working well with the defult settings:#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80, 80, 93} .
Don't konw why yours are not accurate...and the original firmware is exactly the link above shows.

Re: G2S Pro Original firmware souce code
That is only a parameter and only is valuable IF the code that does the calculation, that uses the parameter is correct. So your reply did not help me. It appears that you don not understand enough to be helpful. Very frustrating!

On the positive side it. Is a good machine at a good price but, build quality and technical support is lacking.
