is it possible to get a step by step guide to installing the firmware for mac?
I have been working on my printer for the past 2 months and have been stuck at this point for at least 6 weeks.

In fact ,there is no difference between burning firmware in Win OS and Mac OS.Just change baud rate from 250000 to 115200 in configration.h .In repetier host ,the baud rate should select 115200 as well.
