Delta Rostock mini D2s burns the extruders

Post by D_NOT_U » Fri Sep 18, 2015 11:35 am

This was the very first print try with the printer. You can see there is nothing else on the paper located on the print bed which I used to calibrate the auto level functionality. Now, why is it that someone decided to use plastic on the extruders when they know they will burn? I spent over $500 dollars to get this machine and I worked on it for over a week. Now all I have is a that amount of money and time sitting on my desk as a useless thing?
I work hard to document all the process of building this thing and getting to work, but what I am going I upload now?

What are my solutions? Will I have to spend more money on new extruders?

Note, there is not a single mention of the extruders being made of plastic in the website. This is unbelievable, if I knew that it would definitely had effected my decision to buy this product. I'll be waiting for a response...

Hi,

I have the same problem, did my first print and not even 10 minutes into the print the metal part came loose and the plastic around the head melted. Can you please tell me what you did to get another one and to solve it so it does not happen again,

Thanks

Well I posted some comment about not getting my replacements over a day ago. As of this post those posts that I made have not been made public. Anyways, I finally got my replacements and even though I was very disappointed when my extruders burnt, I am happy to see that geeetech finally sent me my replacements and an extra spider. Thanks to everyone who helped me at geeetech! I'll post my review and videos about how I put all my Rostock g2s later when I get time from work and school. I'll keep everyone posted lol.

Here is a like to a video where I show what I got from geeetech:
