Z axis not sufficient power

Post by mmoreau » Wed Oct 07, 2015 4:50 am

Hi I have a sanguinololu rev-1.3 board and a Prusa I3 in Aluminum printer.

The Z step motors don’t seem to have sufficient power to move the extruder. But when the step motors are not connected to the rods, they function properly. And I can turn the motors easily by hand when the power is off. Everything seems to run smoothly mechanically.

Can someone tell me how to increase the power to the step motors?

Thank you

Just a small regarding noise. Should i bring the power down to the step motors?
