Motors on extruder doesn't work
Motors on extruder doesn't work
I use the Repetier host 0.56 on my Mac.
With multimeter I checked Red and Black contacts on the control board. When I try to move X, Y, Z axes motors and stop them, this contacts have 12 volts. When I try to do the same action for extruders motors, contacts have 0 volts. I reconnected the drivers of stepper motors - axes motors are works, extruder motors doesn't works.
I received this printer with installed firmware and I don't reinstall it.
If I want to move extruder motor when temperature less than 170 degree, program say "cold extrusion prevented" and motor doesn't move.
If I want to move extruder motor when temperature more than 170 degree, program says nothing and motor doesn't move.
When I reconnect extruder motors on control board, motors are still stand (temperature on heaters is 220 degrees).
When I reconnect this motors to one of axes ports, motors are come alive.
I reconnected the heaters and them temperature sensor. This action only change in Repetier host Extruder 1 on Extruder 2 and Extruder 2 on Extruder 1, motors are still stand (temperature on heaters is 220 degrees).
When I want to control the printer from LCD-panel, I go to Menu-Control-Temperature-Nozzle1 (or Nozzle2) and set the temperature on 220 degrees. Then I go to Menu-Prepare-Move axis-Move 1mm-Extruder and twist the knob, motors on extruders doesn't work (temperature on heaters is 220 degrees). If I go to Menu-Prepare-Move axis-Move 1mm-Move X (or Move Y, or Move Z), motors works (on X, Y, Z axes).

Hi, what is the status for the switches under extruder motor drivers? What motor driver are you using?
Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
Hello. This is switches under stepper drivers
And this stepper driver
The motors doesn't work only if they connected to extruder ports, in other ports motors are works.-

Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
How about swapping the extruder motor driver with x or y motor driver? If it moves, the extruder motor driver is dead.
If it still not moving, please try to re-upload the firmware. The firmware has been sent to your email.

Please try to upload with Arduino 1.0.1:

Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
I reinstalled the firmware with Arduino 1.0.1, but motors on extruders doesn't work. I reconnected this motors with motors on axes, motor drivers, heaters and thermistors, but nothing changed. The contacts on extruder's motors ports is 0V.

Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
What's the effective voltage between GND and any pin of extruder motor slot? Is it 0V?Please use AC shift to test the voltage, and remember to plug the motor driver.
Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
Voltage between GND and other pins is 0V. AC-DC transformer: input - 219V AC; output - 12,45V DC.

Re: Motors on extruder doesn't work
Did you get 0V when extruder motor is moving?
