overheating issues

Post by gemors » Sun Jun 07, 2015 5:53 pm

G'day all,

Got my printer about 4 weeks ago, took me a week to build (very little spare time), been printing a few things then yesterday, I got this very strong burned plastic smell and the printer just stopped. Now if I plug the usb cable in the LCS will show the normal information and it's readable, but when I put the main power on then I cannot reead the lcd pannel all the little 'blocks' are active. I can connect to the printer bur no controls or commands make it through.

Please Please help me

Hi, can you tell me what's the resistance of hot bed? How did you mount the mainboard to acrylic plate?

The hotbed was pre soldered by geeetech and hooked into the blue connectors, the ones that melted down in the picture.

I cannot measure the resistance as the board is pretty much dead

This should not happen...

What is the mounting direction of mainboard?
Disconnect the wires of hot bed, you can test the resistance of hotbed as the picture:
