I got my Extruder running but now it jumps cw to ccw

I found the error in my firmware so I re installed it and my extruder is working but now it just goes clockwise to counterclockwise. What did I miss? I set the current at 1.45 like the X and Y. It only tries to feed when hot, which is normal I think.

Generally, the following reason may cause the phenomena you describe:
1. The temperture of extruder is not high enough.
2. The distance between nozzle and hot bed is too low the let the filament out.
3. The extruding intension is not high enough, rotate the screw on extruder to adjust it.

Ok that didn't work, I heated the end up and removed the filament and it went cw to ccw, now it doesn't move again. Bad driver? The motor moves using another driver.

We are sure that it's not a bad driver, because we had every motor driver tested before sending to our customers. There are many reasons may shorten its life: Not cooling well, wrong connection, continuous working, static electricity,etc.

Well I ordered 5 more, it will take 2 weeks to get to me but I will see if it is. Mean while I bought 10 bearings to replace the bad ones on the hot bed. I also bought another ramps 1.4 board because the one I got with the printer in the mail was damaged in shipping.

Please mount the board on acrylic plate like this, to make sure the fan can cool the MOSFET down. It is very important!

I have 2 65mm fans cooling the board running off my computer, over heating isn't an issue but thanks for the warning.

My printer finally works, after a month I ended up buying a new ramps 1.4 board, 5 new 8825 step drivers, new bearings and threaded rod. The extruder works and I got my first print today. So excited.
