Mechanical problem Z axis

Post by Jorzuiz » Tue Apr 21, 2015 1:39 am

I've been printing with the Acrylic Prusa I3 foe a week now and im having a problem with the Z axis. It prints well (Had problems with the extruder that i already solved) but qhen it reaches 2 cm in Z axis both motor jams and doesnt come up. How can i calibrate? Is it due to bad pieces or i mounted it bad?

Printer Stops in the middle of the printing

Acrylis Prusa i3. I've been recently printing small pieces and it works fin, but when i try to print pieces that cos most than an hour it suddenly stops working after 40 minutes or so. When it stops it gives no error message, the LCD and Repetier Host shows that the print stills been made, but the 3D printer doesnt make any movement.

Please try to print offline. Save the file you want to print as g-code file to SD card. Sometimes I also met this problem because of software issue.
By the way, is z motor normal now?

Yes, Z axis seem to be good now, it still makes some nioses and jams passing the 10 cm height but i wont be printing that height. I will try to print from an SD card, how do i save the slicing to a SD card? i would rather not prefer to do it, because i will miss the info from the Repeties Host so if you could say me where its this problem due to i would thank you.

Open the stl file you want to print. Click "Slicer with slicer". Then click the "Save" icon to save the file as g-code file.
Actually, even you use Repetier to print the model, the job the printer implements is g-code file too.
If it happens the same situation, please take video, that beats 1000 words.

Finally i achieved to print big pieces from the SD card, is a bit annoying, but it works. Now im having another problem with the print quality. This to pieces are supposed to fit together, but the material seem to deform for some reason

Maybe it's slicer issue, you can try to optimize slicer .

I just use the recommended settings, and modify a bit by myself.
Sorry, I never use CuraEngine, so I don't know the difference between Slic3r and CuraEngine.
