All axis only move in positive direction
All axis only move in positive direction
All axis will only move in the positive direction. This is true whether in manual setup or trying to run a program. When in setup, you can move the axis in any increment in a positive direction but then the position resets to 0 and it won't move back. When trying to run a program, I can see the positive G codes are working but the negative G code commands are being ignored. eventually, the axis gets to the end of travel and stalls. This is true of X, Y, and Z and probably the extruder but I can't see that one.

Please tell me your board type and your email address.
Re: All axis only move in positive direction
My board type is Saguinololu. I was able to make it work one time running a program in "dry run" but when I tried to run with the heats on, it went back to only moving positive. That was the one and only time it worked. Now it only moves positive again whether in setup, dry run, or full run. Other than that, everything seems to be working.

dose it move only a little bit? If it's, pls press the endstop and move it again, i guess the endstop signal is missing or get a inverse level.

I have the same board. My z axis only moves positive, the other 2 work properly. The extruder is not working as well.

Is the connection of z motors correct?cazuroweste wrote: I have the same board. My z axis only moves positive, the other 2 work properly. The extruder is not working as well.
The extruder motor can not move unless the temperature is higher than 175 degrees.

The z axis is connected correctly. Whether i press up or down, it will only go up. Also, it seems the threaded rods for the z axis are not straight, as it wants to bind up.zhangxueyou wrote:Is the connection of z motors correct?cazuroweste wrote: I have the same board. Re: All axis only move in positive direction
In my case, the axis' will move in whatever increment is chosen when in manual mode. It will move the entire length of travel if you tell it to but ONLY in a positive direction.
When I run a program in "dry run", it will do all the positive moves correctly until it runs out of travel, ignoring all the negative moves. I don't know about the extruder, I've been trying to get the main axis working first. The end stops are wired correctly but since the axis' must travel in a negative direction to activate them, it's hard to tell if they are working correctly. Is this a firmware issue?

1.Let the z axis up first. After it stops, let it down. See if it can go down.cazuroweste wrote:

2.You should make sure the theaded rods are well installed.
