Fanduct for Prusa i3 Pro and Pro B for better resolution

Post by jgvonk » Sat Mar 21, 2015 11:35 pm

Best Geeetech users,

With the included STL files the I3 performance is a lot better.
Now I achieve a resolution of 0.06mm (nozzle 0.3mm)

Users of the Prusa I3 Pro should print both files and add them to the printer.

Prusa I3 Pro B users only need to print the Fan duct and add it to the printer.

Thanks to thegman

Have Fun!

Here the pictures of the installed Fan duct. Fan duct falls below the extruder suspension for the Geeetech Prusa i3 Pro B and the original screws can be used.

Is the extruder holder different as well? I see your extruder is more to the right.

Yes, I get it now. My metal plate between holder and extruder was flipped the other way placing my fan more to the left of the bracket. I've changed it now and tried the fan duct. I have a feeling it blowing to much on my heater block now. It takes for ever to reach its temperature. I'll try and rotate the block.

I have the same issue with the position of the duct, are we missing something? I'm printing the other stl you provided but it looks the same as what I already have. Please advise, and know the we appreciate your efforts.

I'll rotate the plate as mentioned above and give it a go.
