acrylic I3 motor issues

hello, i have recently purchased and built the acrylic i3 with ramps 1.4 and the mega 2560, i have followed the instructions on the wiki page and can get the system to connect to my pc and the head bead and extruder heat up and read temperature, however i cannot manually move the motors correctly, the jitter and make small movments or do not move at all and i get a message saying endstop hit on the axis i try to move.

additionaly when i can get them to move they make a vibrating/grinding soud

What's the OS of your PC, if you can't connect with our dirvers, you can search and download a ft232r driver.

I am running windows 7 and have found drivers as the f232r drivers didn't register. Do i need to burn the marlin firmware? I am sorry about the multiple posts it took me a minuet to realise they had to be approved before posting and thought I had made an error.

With the endstop messages I will remove them and if you could reply here that will be fine. the endstop are the ones supplied in the kit are are wired to the 2 outside points. Depressing the endstop does not cause the motor to move.

The firmware was already in board as the LCD showed temperature.
And the endstop is not the reason why the motor didn't move(which axis was it?),
maybe sth wrong with the motor driver,
3 jumpers under the motor driver A4988 should be connected.

I can confirm all the jumpers are installed and it is all three axis that are not functioning correctly

I Can confirm all the jumper are in place and have had some success getting the z axis to move smoothly by adjusting the voltage on the stepper driver, i moves in the oposite direction to the button clicked in repiter host but is running, the other motors still just pulse back and forth when given inputs from the manual control screen

through a process of reinstalling all the drivers etc i have got all my motors functionign correctly, however my z axis is running backwards, there isn't enough room on the board to just reverse the plugs, they are to wide to fit the other way, is there some way i can reverse the z axis in the software?

On the plastic connector you will see a window on each wire, there is a plastic tab, lift slightly and you can remove the wire pins and reorder them as needed, or you can take a razor blade and trim the connector, I suggest removing the pins.

You can reverse the z axis in the software.
Edit the firmware: change the INVERT_Z_DIR--TRUE to FALSE, or the opposite.
