Printrboard trace burn
Printrboard trace burn
I have burned up two geeeetech printrboards and can't seem to figure out why. The motors still run fine one both card but no heat from the hot end.
A close look shows a burnt trace going from the power over to the hotend connector.
I'm running a 203watt Xbox power supply
12.23v at 16amps
Anyone have any idea why it's doing this?
Anyway I can rig this so it will work?
I can provide picture or video if that helps

Re: Printrboard trace burn
Is it possible that you can update the wiki page and or the product page about this power limitation?

Re: Printrboard trace burn
Okay I think I have ruled out the power supply as being the problem.
I am working on trouble shooting this more but I'm wondering if anyone has had any problems like this?
Is there a way I can make a jumper to jump around the burnt trace?

Re: Printrboard trace burn
I just sent an email.
I am pretty good with a soldering iron so that would work for me.

Here's a video of the cards.

I did the contact form like two days ago and just got a message to post a topic on the geeetech forum.
The trace that is burnt out runs under a capacitor. I'm wondering if its connected to the capacitor?
