Hello,it can be upgraded, but you need to add an extruder, replace the motherboard, etc. A series of steps, if you are not familiar with it, it is recommended to buy A20t directly.
-Keep your mind and try to test it.

Re: A20/A20T... Advice Please?
Hey there,
First off many thanks for the reply!
Secondly, I'm only asking as buying a A20T is like £350ish where as I can get an A20 for £180, which is quite a difference, so then I could spend that extra money on the upgrade parts & more filaments an stuff.... You see where I'm coming from?
Now I'm pretty proficient in building/fixing computers & normal printers but I've not really done much in the way of 3D Printers but I thought that hopefully it's the same principles in that you could buy a standard model and upgrade it with better parts to achieve the level desired.... In this case making the A20 become an A20T
So, if you don't mind, could you please tell me what is this series of steps that I have to follow & what parts would I need to buy to achieve my goal??
Thanks again for all the help!
Chris

Hello, if you want to upgrade a20 to a20t, you need to replace the motherboard and then change the firmware to a20t mode. Then you need to replace a 3-in-1 hot end. You also need to purchase two additional extruders, the above upgrade costs may also reach the price of a20t. You can check the relevant prices on the geeetech official website or in the shop.

why he need a new mainboard? the mainboard is the same or not, it have only 2drivers more and an other software. The other Hot End and 2 new extruder and 1 extruder head change and new cables. i have the same idea as Greggers 89. the price in total isnt lower as the complete 20T, but cheaper as a second printer.

The drivers on the motherboard keep shorting out. I have someone from Geeetech looking into it, but if anyone knows the solution then that would be great. I've gotten new drivers, replaced the motherboard, and the last thing I heard from them is that it might be a faulty power supply. Any thoughts? https://19216811.cam/ https://1921681001.id/

I'm using the a20m (same printer but only 2 extruders)
It's been running for a year with excellent results.
For your first upgrades, I'd recommend a geetech superplate and a BL touch.
