Finally dipped my toe into the world of 3D printing and have started out with the geeetech A10. I have purchased a bltouch to try and help me along the way.
The problem is I have absolutely no experience of what goes into installing this correctly. I’ve seen loads of videos of people installing the touch itself but I can’t find anything to help me work out what is the right firmware I need and also how and what changes I need to make to the firmware to get it working correctly.
If there is anyone out there who is willing to give some advise or help on how I need to go about installing all of this and what is the correct firmware what changes I need to make and what kind of Gcode profile I need to write to get going I’d be extremely grateful.

Re: Geeetech A10 bltouch help
I also recently purchased a printer and setting up the BL Touch was by far the hardest part of the experience. I am in no way a professional but I can share what I know.
Firstly, to flash the firmware you will need to download the firmware tool from here:
Windows: https://www.geeetech.com/download.html?version_id=80
Mac: https://www.geeetech.com/download.html?version_id=88
Secondly, you will need to connect the printer to your computer using the provided USB cable. I had to install the printer drivers manually to get the printer to show up properly in the device manager. You should then see the printer listed under "Ports (Com & LPT). Look for the keyword "CH340" and note the COM port it's connected to as you will need that in the

Third, I too followed a bunch of videos and installed the BL Touch but I found this video to be the best:

It is for the A20M but aside from the lcd screen being a different colour the menu options and the print head are the same.
Now, even following this video was leading to my nozzle crashing into the bed on auto home. I recommend putting the levelling paper under the nozzle when you try this to protect your bed, For me, this was happening because the BL Touch was mounted too high and not triggering before the nozzle hit. Lower it slightly and try again until it works correctly.
The video does cover setting the Z-Offset. I also found that there was a bit of trial end error here. Again, protect the bed so the nozzle doesn't scratch it up.
Hopefully, this helps. Like I said I'm not a pro but I was so frustrated working through this...
