Micro Swiss hotend
Has anyone been able to install a micro swiss hotend on the geeetech a10?

Hello, as long as it can be successfully engaged, it can be used normally. And then adjust the nozzle diameter on the slicing software.

But how would I fit it in the carriage? As anyone ever fit it before? Do I need an adapter?

From what I can tell, you need to build your own custom carriage to adapt the standard Ender hot end (the Micro Swiss shares the standard Ender screw dimensions). I did a bunch of research along those lines but could not find a ready made one. I was about to roll my own when I instead bought the micro swiss direct extruder carriage. I figured this would save me from all the work, and give me the upgraded option of having a dual gear extruder along with a new carriage that the micro swiss hot end fits already. I'm finding that the wheels are not an exact match for my A10, so the carriage was misaligned until I put a couple washers in the lower 2 bearings.
