Screen Blank with black bars after firmware update

Hello everyone, I'm new to the 3d printer world be I decided I should get myself an a10m recently. Well after have it for a while I also wanted to use a spare bltouch I had sitting around. So I when to flash the vertebreak marlin firmware I compiled using Cura as my way of communicating with the printer, but after it finished and I turned the printer off and on again the screen now just shows the yellow background with two lines of black squares on it! I have no clue what I've done wrong, and I've looked through the code I compiled just to double check and everything seemed correct. I've also tried flashing firmware from geeetech's website, and tried even using geeetech's firmware toolkit, but to no avail. So does anyone have any suggestions at all? Because I'd hate to have just broken my brand new printer.

I got the same problem, I did exactly the same you did. and I only could install another Marlin Firmware, the screen is the same, but I can controll it from my pc.

Which color is your board?

Have just been informed by Geeectech support that the new A10m printers come with the new V4.1b board and this board isn’t compatible with any of the current firmware that is available !
If you have tried to upgrade the firmware the board will fail and will need replacing with a new board with preloaded firmware !

I have exactly the same problem with the screen!!! What to do?

You will need to contact Geeetech sales support and get them to send out a replacement Board .
No other way to fix as I’ve been told !

Do they specifically sell with such a mother
boards?

When they send you a new motherboard, it will have 20 pins for the display, and yours has 6 pins. Be careful! and clarify it

The first photo you posted is the V4.0 board with 20pin screen connector .
2nd pic with 12 pin is the new V4.1b board .This is the one that they will send if your printer has it installed .
They will ask for the serial number of printer and that will tell them which board your printer was sent with .
