Thanks for your response I got my readings all from the soldered pins on the back of the board, as it worked fine with the main power connector for the board.

I will test your suggestion and get back to you asap It feels good to get closer to the root of the problem!

I have the same problem, whem im impressing my i3 pro B with GT2650 freeze and lost comunicaction.

Hi,You can try different interfaces of the computer,
Do not occupy the port when connecting the printer,
Check if your computer generates the serial port automatically. If not, you need to install the driver.

Hello William,

The symptom is like described by the thread opener:
- printer works for some time, does not matter whether heating, printing or just idle
- printer stops, communication time out message appearing (in Repetier Host in my case), heating remains on, if it was on previously on
- printer does not respond at all, neither USB connected host nor via the printer's controls
- LED below the processor is continuously on, rather than the usual blinking

You need to check whether the baud rate is correct.
The LCD lights are on continuously.

OK, thanks. Sorry for the delay on my side this time.

In the meantime I did not have much time and so just tried to use the SD card - so far no cancelled print anymore.

So not sure whether there is an even more spontaneous issue (printer stopping to respond at all) behind this and in the foreground is the a problem possibly with my computer's USB drivers. I understand this is not really possible to troubleshoot from remote, so thanks for your patience and troubles so far.
