Replacing superplate

Post by Yorkston » Fri May 08, 2020 5:18 am

Hi,

I recently cracked my superplate on my A30 and just got my replacement in. However, it seems like the original is glued onto the heat bed. Any suggestions on how to remove it?

Hi,did you tear off the yellow paper?
If you tear it off and stick it on, it will not be easy to take it off after heating.
Even if torn off, the hot bed is not smooth.

Sadly the yellow paper was removed and already attached when i received it and has already gone through more then a few prints before the accident that cracked the glass.

Use fine metal wire same as guitar cord

heat at maximum temperature

cut the glue between the heating bed and the glass by passing the wire between the 2

easy to remove ;-)
