Hi guys
I have a problem with my A10, the E driver burned out mid print resoling in the following problems after replacing the driver with a like for like part.
The control dial will now no longer scroll though the menus. I am able to press the controller in and that responds but any up or down moment is not registered.
I had no problems with menu moment until the driver burned out.
I've emailed Geeetech on this but need to get this thing up and running.
I've also rolled the FW back to 1.8 and cleared any setting with no change.
Anyone have any ideas?
And is there a way i can control the printer over USB?
Control dial up and down no longer working after burned out driver.
Re: Control dial up and down no longer working after burned out driver.
Further update it appears that two of the original drivers failed.
Now the replacement drivers that I ordered have a chip code of: HR4988SQ but are listed as A4988 drivers.
The original drivers have a chip code of: 4988ET
When I installed the replacement drivers my X axis locks up when turned on. With a good original driver this dose not happen.
I have also setup octoprint and when trying to home the printer I'm unable to move any of the motors at all and the printer has an error that it is unable to home.

Re: Control dial up and down no longer working after burned out driver.
OK further update.
It seems that all my original a4988 drivers are dead...
On testing I have been able to move Z axis using Octoprint and using this I was able to test and separate the good drivers from the bad ones.
But even after the tested working drivers are installed I'm only able to move Z axis, the X axis motor remains locked with this drivers installed
In octoprint I get nothing out of X/Y or E at all and I have no up or down operation from my menu knob.
I'm starting to think my system board is the problem here.
