Z Axis Issues

Post by EpicDr1zzt » Mon Mar 30, 2020 6:37 am

So i purchased the I3 Pro W as my first printer, probably should have gotten a prebuilt because im having a lot of issues. My Z axis is not working properly, i have leveled it and done everything i can to fix it on my own. I have put in the proper Z codes i believe however the right motor is rotating faster than the left rod and the left rod will catch and not move at all. I have checked the rods for imperfections, i have checked to make sure the rods can move properly, i have tried changing the stepper drivers, ive tried re-uploading the firmware, i dont know what else i can do. Any help would be amazing!

Hi, You can remove the z-axis threaded rod to see if the left and right motors are running synchronously.
After the z-axis is installed, the left and right z-axes need to be on the same horizontal line.

Yes they run synchonously without the rods and the stopping seems to be done. but ive already swapped the rods and the holds for them. I dont know what it could be, i thought that it was the x axis belt being to tight and pulling them inward but it does it with the belt off too. ive checked the rods for imperfections that could cause it to catch. do i just not have enough voltage to the motors? How would i fix that? i dont have something to check the voltage unfortunately

Hi, You need to properly mount the z-axis threaded rod through the coupling,
And check if the left and right z-axis are on the same horizontal line.

Hi,

I have the same problem

It happens to me when the z-axis is in the initial position, which is unable to climb, it gets stuck.
