A10M SD CARD WILL NOT READ

I bought my A10M printer a week ago and I am having problems printing from the SD card. No card came with the printer, so had to use what I had available.
I first had a 2GB card which I loaded with several Gcode files and it loads and prints from it OK. Unfortunately, the little lock slide on the card broke off and it is stuck in the locked state so cannot put any more files on it.
So, I went out and bought a brand new 16GB SanDisk SD card (smallest they sell now) and loaded it with the same Gcode files.
I inserted it into the A10M slot and selected "Print from SD Card"
It does not read anything from the card at all, as though it it empty or not there.
I put the original 2GB card back in and it read that OK.

Is there a problem with reading larger SD cards or am I doing something wrong?

Yes, I did restart the printer after changing cards.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I was about to purchase a couple SD cards when I saw your post, so I decided to look it up. The 2gb micro SD is a *SD* card. 4gb cards are *HC (high capacity)*. The 16gb is an *XC (extended capacity)*. You can look at the front of the SD card and see the *HC* or *XC*.

So it appears the best thing to do is just buy 2gb cards online.

There is a chance that newer firmware could make the HC and/or the XC work.

Thanks for the heads up on that one, I figured it may be something to do with the type of card.
So I bought a 2Gb , which says "High Speed" on it and it still did not work. Please let me know if you get a 2Gb that works with the make , so I can get the same.
I still think that Geeetech should clarify the situation on this, you would think as the printers were only made recently, thay would be able to handle upto 16 or 32Gb cards.

The solution I'm going with is running "octoprint" on an old PC notebook.Octoprint is more typically run Raspberry pi, but since I have an old notbook gathering dust, I went with the PC install. Octoprint allows gcode to be sent over the wifi, along with controlling the x/y/y and temperature. Octoprint also allows a video stream (which i have yet to try to setup) to be able to look in how the print is going and create time laps movies.
