So with a shaky hand, I pushed the buy now button and purchased the GEEETECH A30.
I am a little apprehensive with the purchase as I am a little concerned and cannot find any real info on the software that this unit runs. It states that it is a propitiatory software.
Being new to 3D printing, and having a Creality Ender 3 pro, is there many differences that I can expect on printing in CURA, as it is the only program I am familiar with.
Thank you for your in put.
Cheers

Re: Honest opinion on GEEETECH A30
Why did Geeetech do this? Surely it would have been seen to be a more superior printer and should have had better board etc?
I have both an A10 and an A30 and for me the A10 blows the socks off the A30 in quality of prints and reliability. I am yet to get a satisfactory print from the A30 and i am still trying to tweek it.

@ Vert and Yan_UK - I'm in the same boat. Is there any solution to fixing the A30 is it just a boat anchor? Can't get a "good" print out of it to save its life, and we've done several upgrades including new hot end, Swiss made all metal heat choke, new all metal extruder, Creality bracing bars, etc. Is the firmware just not accurate enough? Anyone know if the new "Pro" board they put on the A30M will work plug and play in the A30 yet?

Sorry for the late reply but i had given up on the A30 so hadn't bothered with the forums until now which is where i saw the notification to this topic.DrPop wrote: ↑Thu Mar 12, 2020 5:36 am@ Vert and Yan_UK - I'm in the same boat. Anyway, after doing more tests on the A30 weekend just gone i decided to bite the bullet and get a new hotend, fans etc etc but then i read your post and thought oh damn.
So now i am convinced its the crappy firmware causing the poor print issues and i am afraid to say the A30 is now nothing more than an expensive ornament.
Honestly, i will just keep running my A10 until it dies and buy my next printer from another manufacturer. I am sure they all have issues but to create a printer to fail and become obsolete within six months just shocks me.
Sorry Geeetech but the A30 is simply just pants and i wouldn't touch the duel and triple colour printers with a barge pole...... On a side note support have been good with me so no problem there but a shame the product wasn't improved upon.
