A20T and 3DTouch firmware
A20T and 3DTouch firmware
Hi,
I installed the 3D Touch firmware for A20T and have 1 question and 1 problem:
Problem: If I select Mixer in the menu on the printer with this firmware, the printer immediately reboots.
Question: Does this firmware support Marlin's M48 command? I would like to see how repeatable the zero sensing is on my 3DTouch sensor. When I issue the command, I only get an OK response from the firmware. It never performs the test or gives additional output.
http://marlinfw.org/docs/gcode/M048.html
Thanks,
Paul

Re: A20T and 3DTouch firmware
Thanks Vert, I will definitely look that direction. I actually just came across the link to it on Thingiverse the other day as well.
Re: A20T and 3DTouch firmware
Thanks Vert!
Got it installed last night and have been playing with it.
Plan to explore some multicolor printing as well now that my hot end has been replaced. Just printed off 3 separate single color calibration cubes and they all look great.

Re: A20T and 3DTouch firmware
I also found that using M163 S1 P0.33 causes the printer to reboot.
So i would also like to try using a better firmware.
Do you have a hex file that you could share?
or a specific video on you YouTube channel for help setting up new firmware for a mixer printer with 3 colors?
Re: A20T and 3DTouch firmware
Good afternoon Vert!
Immediately I apologize for bad English, because it is a dumb native language.
I am completely new to 3D printers, so not everything is clear.
Therefore, I would like, if possible, a little help.
I have a few questions, if you answer I will be very grateful
I read on the forum, and in my head formed porridge, which must be scooped up.
so I ask you for help.
the site says arduino, but I don’t know anything about it.
and I haven’t reached the wi-fi module settings yet, but there is a module.
I wanted to first deal with 3D tach. and then with wi-fi. and other printer settings.
I have 3 colors that can be fed into the extruder.
I have a20t printer.
Marlin 1.1.8/ 2017-12-25
Extruders: 1
GT2560 v4.0
Baud: 250000
FW Ver: v2.0
HW Ver: V1.20
Protocol: 1.0
PSU: Generic
I installed a 3D touch on it.
1. Do I need to reflash the printer?
because in the menu I can’t find the 3D control by touch.
2. Do I need to change the version of marlin?
3. What is the correct firmware A20T_G05_V1.1.8_2-3DTOUCH.hex or A20T_G05_V1.1.8.hex?
4. Can I flash from a flash drive (sd)?
5. flash this version of firmware on this printer through the menu and reset button?
6. there is an auto-home in the menu, when pressed, the printer sends its head to the parking lot and rises one step higher, is this normal?
7. after flashing something needs to be changed with the screw settings, and how to determine which screw is installed?
8. and how to save the stock firmware, in case of unsuccessful printer firmware?
I apologize once again for poor English, my native Russian language.
failed to send to a private message.
Thank you
Yaroslav

Re: A20T and 3DTouch firmware
good morning Vert.
it’s just that the message hung in the outbox and not in the sent ones, and I was afraid that the message simply didn’t reach.
thanks for answers!
I just looked at YouTube, you kind of switched to marlin 2 and you have your own firmware on a20t, so I thought you could tell how to defeat this miracle.

Hello Vert
thank you for answers!
1. tell me, did you switch to marlin 2.0 without problems on your printer?
2. You installed your firmware, or rather rebuilt, which one?

5. flash this version of firmware on this printer through the menu and reset button?

Hi,have you tried uploading the firmware while holding down the reset button of the printer,
If you still cannot upload successfully, you can contact your sales to replace the motherboard.)
Judging by the answer, you need to download the firmware via the usb cable and press the button, I just thought it was for a .hex file on the microSD.
7. after flashing something needs to be changed with the screw settings, and how to determine which screw is installed?
7) sure what "screw" your referring to.
how to determine which rotation screw is installed?
the photo is very similar, but I can make a mistake with the size.
I understand that you are not a geeetech representative, but I just look you are an experienced person in this topic, and therefore asked.
just looking at a20t not much information more information on a20m. But as I understand it, they are different in their filling.
if I knew English better, it was easier, but i have to use an e-translator
thanks anyway for the answers
Best regards
Yaroslav
