trying to load new firmware A30

Post by Infidel » Tue Jan 07, 2020 9:34 am

I am trying to update the a30 firmware. I downloaded the latest firmware file from Geeetech. I have my laptop connected to the printer and printer shows up as com3 in the device manager. When I run main, I see Com 3 at the top. I do not see the two buttons that are supposed to be at the bottom of the program (version 2.0). So when I select the mainboard bin file it gives me a green check but I can not do anything.

Any help appreciated.

:D Hi, if so,
You can install the driver manually,
Specific operations refer to this: https://www.geeetech.com/forum/viewtopi ... RlcFtWdCG4

Then select the corresponding port,
Then upload the firmware.

I installed the latest USB driver for the printer. My printer has the CH340 chip. Does this look right (see screenshot of my device manager below)?

I am still unable to install firmware. The main.exe opens, but it does not have the controls across the bottom. I can select the BIN file but that is all that is happening. Attached is a screenshot of the main.exe without any controls. Without the controls I cannot install the firmware. Is there something wrong with my Printer?

Should I try the FT USB driver?
