Fan test

Post by dbelge » Thu Dec 05, 2019 4:16 pm

Hello,

I just got an A20M printer from a friend who does not want to use it anymore. Before using it myself, I would like to make properly the adjustments.

The first thing concerne the fans. I am not sur they are still working? Do you know a way to test them?

Thanks in advance

Hi, the cooling fan is always on.
The PWM fan on the extruder housing was turned on after printing several layers,
The speed of the fan can be adjusted on the LCD screen

Hi, When you manually heat the extruder, the fan inside the extruder will also work

Is that normal?
No, they should start as soon as you power on the printer.

Hi, You mean that when you turn on the printer, the cooling fan is not turned on;
You can measure the voltage on the port of the connected fan when the power is off.
During normal shutdown, there is no voltage. If the measurement is normal, the fan can be replaced.

Hello,

Thanks for the answers. I changed the fans and everything seems to be fine now. I have to check the offset and adjust the bed....

Best regards
