A30M will not level

Post by HBert3 » Sat Nov 23, 2019 6:56 am

The option for manual leveling does not work and imagine selling a printer called "Geeetech A30M upgrade auto leveling mix color 3d printer" without the auto level kit. I turned it on and immediately the head crashed and scarred the print surface. Please send me a shipping label. I paid for and waited since August for this? I will be upgrading my paypal dispute to indicate that the manual leveling function does not work and without it, it will not work for the intended purpose.

Hi, You need to click "leveling" on the touch screen.
“Manual Leveling” enters the manual leveling operation interface.
First place a leveling paper or A4 paper between the printing platform and the extrusion nozzle.
Click the middle "5" button and select the appropriate precision (0.05mm/0.5mm) in the lower left corner to adjust the height deviation value in the Z-axis direction until the distance between the platform and the nozzle is about one sheet of paper. 0.1~0.2mm,
Pull the paper back and forth to see if you can feel a slight resistance. If there is just a slight resistance, the extrusion head is already in the correct position.
After adjusting the height deviation value of the middle "5" position, click the "OK" button to save the current value.
Then click the button in the order of 1~4, and turn the adjustable nut corresponding to the four corners at the bottom of the adjustment platform at the extrusion head of each point.
The coarse adjustment can be completed until the distance between the platform and the nozzle is about the thickness of one sheet of paper.

OK, to set everyone straight on this issue, and if I sound bitter, it is because I am.
1. I waited for months for this printer and:
2. It is not my first rodeo
3. I set this up according to the directions that were downloaded from the website.
4. I have followed the leveling instructions. I hit the leveling button, then manual leveling and nothing. the next screen will not come up. I do not get the screen with the 5 leveling points at all. the button makes a small clicking sound, but has no affect what so ever.
5. I have been printing for several years. I agree that it takes time to get any printer set and leveled before I can expect to get any vialable prints.
6. I know that auto-level will not work until the bed is leveled manually first, but that does not negate the fact that the auto leveling kit is not included in a printer that is marketed as a auto level printer.
7. I did not try to print anything out of the box by just hitting a button.
8. I tried to move the z axies up and it went down, causing the crash. another software glitch.
9. I was told that the delay in shipping this product was because they were "perfecting the software and working out a few bugs. so much for that theory.

Vert; obviously you do not understand the frustration that this has caused. getting told that the printer would ship next week for almost 4 months and then getting a printer that appears to have a software issue. I send out emails trying to get help and then play the waiting game.
When you get a printer that will not allow you get to the first step of leveling, where you would set the z off set, then what. I know, you have a defective printer..

William; Hitting the "manual leveling" button brings up the screen with 2 choices, "manual leveling" or "auto leveling", the "Manual leveling" button does NOT enter the manual leveling operation interface. it does absolutly nothing.

I posted the post because I am angry with the product that was shipped to me. I am angry because the support for this issue is by email and you can not get in touch by phone, so any email is delayed by at least 12 hours. usually in the middle of the night because of the time difference. That is not going to get this issue resolved. I get an email telling me the exact same thing that is in the manual, I reply that I already did that and explainn what the problem is and I am still awaiting a response.
Anyone else care to chime in?

Hi, Do you mean the touch screen is not responding?

Does this happen when you touch other buttons?
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

William,
Delete my post if you can. I finally got the button to respond. I must have pushed it 50 or more times and then it started working. I have tried it about 20 more times and it seems to have fixed itself. The first 50 times it lit up as to recognize the touch, but did absolutely nothing. As you can tell from my post, I was very angry. I am still upset about not having a printer without an auto-leveling kit.
