crazy temps

well i own a geeetech A20M and my temps both read 117 for the nozzle and 122 for the heatbed well i have them off i just had a probelm of my nozzle resading 357 but when i unplugged my thermistor the temps changed to 117/122 anyone have any ideas?? im hoping its not the board

Hi, you can try to measure the thermistor,
If you don't have a multimeter,
you can try to unplug the thermistor and check the temperature display.

If the temperature does not show a negative temperature without heating,
it may be a motherboard problem.

changed the thermistor and checked the wires and connectors seem to be all good im hoping really hoping its not the board and im gonna try the marlin thing you said i also have a multimeter not to sure on how to use it but i got one

Prove the thermistor on Ohm it should be reading around 100 K ohms ambient temp.

well i was playing around with the wires and heard a spark by my hotend now nothing works if it was not fried its fried now lol no power to the fans or hotend i think i killed it screen dont even turn on anymore booooo im so glad this is not my only printer lol

im gonna check them but im gonna get a friend that knows what hes doing to look first lol cause it happened when i was checking the wires going to the hotend i think i may of hit something i should not of with my multimeter booo im new lol

the most suspicious place to check in the printer is the X carriage.
the way the carriage is build and because of te Extruder ext board, the cabling goes nder and cross near the wheels.

if not installed right or secured away from the wheels, it might cause that short from worm cables.

in my case, my Extruder ext. Board the PCB trace was shorted and broken off.
once replaced a new one that I received from Geeetech, all is good now.
