A10M sudden layer shift ?

Sudden frame shift.

Hey guys, i was printing some bigger piece with the "extra-fine" settings. After around 16h of print time the x-axis ( is that the one that moves "back and forth with the buildplate?), obviously had a problem, resulting in the layers from one leyer to the next be moved by 4-5mm, after that shift occured the printer continued printing without any hassle.

Any idea how to fix that ?

Sorry i was busy printing. Actually i just decided that i will run with it until it shows up again... and so far it hasnt happend again.

Could you explain this a little more?
I have a simular issue to the OP however I am getting constant shifts on both my X and Y axis and have tried everything else you mention above but don't understand what you are saying here.

Hi, regarding the adjustment of the belt,
You can refer to this:

Regarding the speed of the print, you can refer to the range of 30-60mm/s;

If you need to adjust the driver board voltage, you can refer to this to make adjustments.

Yes, I am aware of this. What I am wanting to know is what is meant by:
the stock firmware uses 80.3 and 80.8 steps on xy any not whole number is subject to the rounding error where over time of the print you get +-1 step resulting in holes and bumps that could give a shift.
And also how does one check if they have a "a4988" driver and what to do if I do have one.
