Suddenly poor print quality
Suddenly poor print quality
I bet this could be a Slicer issue more than a printer issue. But I don't know where to start looking.
From having the most incredible prints done by my Geeetech A20M I suddenly get very ugly blobs on my projects.
I have lately upgraded to Cura 4.2.1 - and I can't say if it started before. I think a good idea would be to include Cura version in my gCode files (then I always could compare and check versions).
Here is a picture of my present problem:
And this is a print I did a week ago which was so perfect (I'm very impressed by the A20M printer):

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
Hi, You can try to reduce the printing speed appropriately, the reference range is 30-60mm / s.
-Keep your mind and try to test it.
-Everything will be fun!-Support all Getech printer.
-You can ask me the questions and I will kindly reply.

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
Thank you for your reply - I think I will try that out. I actually tried to print with my second material (color) and that came out without blobs so it is somehow related to my white color printing and yes it could be the speed.

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
I don't like to confuse you. So please go on with your forseen changes.
If this does not bring you success, try to change your nozzle.
I had similar looking Problems and tried a lot and when I finally changed the nozzle everything was good again.
(My explenation as a dummy was, that there was some change in the nozzle e.g. small parts or the nozzle was slightly damaged at the outlet edge that disturbed the proper flow of the liquid filament).

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
Thank you for your suggestion - it is highly appreciated.
But as my printer has only one nozzle but two extruders (I think it is called) and I made some good prints afterwards with my other filament (a more flat project) so I think it could be a slicer setting issue.

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
Well I think I have solved it - fiddling around with my slicer gave a new and better result. Very nice print:

Re: Suddenly poor print quality
hello Mr. Borg,
I'm assembling my A20M....(long story)...
would you be willing to share your config profile for the A20M?
I'm spending much of the time fixing my "new" A20M, and wish to have a "short-cut" from the slicer tinkering....
only if you have time.... thanks in advance
