Extruder Leakage

Post by SamuraiMelon » Sun Aug 18, 2019 5:32 am

Hi,

I seem to be getting quite a bit of filament leakage, oozing plastic out of the extruder heating block, onto the nozzle. (This melted plastic then drips down interrupting prints).

Anyone experienced this issue/know what's causing it?

Will I need a replacement?

Many thanks

Hi Samuraimelon,
You could first check that the nozzle isn't too loose when screwed into the heater block ?
Get the block hot and clean off all the mess from the nozzle area.
(I use a pair of tweezers, be careful, melted plastic burns fingers !)
Then use a small spanner to see if the nozzle is loose.
Try extruding again.
