A10T - 3d touch autolevelling - good or not?

Post by Limon1 » Wed Feb 17, 2021 5:47 am

hi.
i have no experience in 3d printing.
with my new A10T comes a 3d-touch-autolevelling-kit.

so my question: https://speedtest.vet/ https://vidmate.bid/
is the instruction https://www.geeetech.com/wiki/index.php ... ing_Sensor actually or old manual?

what are now the steps to make?
- new printersoft?
- marlin how to change?
- can i go back if not working properly?

for me it seems not easy to install this sensor.

what is your suggestion?

I just got mine this week and added 3dtouch after upgrading optional 3d touch hex file under download section for A10T using Cura-uploaded easily and works fine. Still learning about 3 extrusion but for bed leveling I had it in the ballpark within 10 minutes to make calibration cube-I will need to dial it in more but works fine and is plug and play. Do down and dirty manual leveling at corners after lowering bed all the way and adding 5 turns to each wheel first. After uploading firmware thru CURA, go to PREPARE, LEVELING, then 3D TOUCH sections, opt on for 3d touch after plugging in at the extruder head then dial in Z offset and proceed with bed leveling. I wish it was upgraded to Marlin 2 but will fiddle with it later. If you do not like it turn 3dtouch option off and unplug and go back to manual bed leveling.
