Print in single colour

Hi all,
I've brought my son a A10T printer for Christmas, weve printed out the dog preloaded on the Sd card which came out great.
We would now like to print a singled coloured item in marble coloured filament, we have found a model we are looking for but when we try to print it it uses all 3 filaments which we dont want, weve removed the filaments we dont want but the extruder motors run as if they have filament, when we enable the run out sensors and then try to print an error message comes up.
I cant find any setting to disable the 2 extruder motors either on the printer or on the software (Repeater Host), when we adjust the colour mix settings on the printer to 100%;0%;0% and start printing the values change, if we adjust the colour mix settings after the print has started it will print 1 layer at 100%;0%;0% and then change values.
Surely there must be a setting to just use 1 filament?
Thank you in advance for any help received.
