Hi,
I don't know if anyone has had a similar problem, but my A10 printer's Z axis was OK, but suddenly it would not go down low enough to the bed!
I have a 3D Touch connected, and this is working OK.
It appears that the Z drive has slipped, and the printer thinks it at zero Z when it is about 4mm off the bed.
The only way I have got round this is by increasing the Z offset to minus 4.00mm from minus 1.3.
I have tried switching off, resetting the printer and any adjustments I can find. Any advice would be appreciated, Thanks!

How high your 3d touch it's mounted from bed?OldWizard wrote: ↑Fri Oct 23, 2020 11:44 pmHi,

Your 3d touch needs to be 3mm above bed surface.
Loose screws on 3d touch mount, on turned off your printer and manually move your z axis until nozzle touch bed surface. Than put 3mm hex key under stowed bl touch sensor and tight screws on 3d touch mounting.
Make sure if you using 3d touch you remove z end stop switch!!
Than to de software part.
Go to pronterface or other terminal.
Turn your printer on
Type G851 z0 to reset z offset
Type m500 for save settings to eprom
Type m501 to load fresh settings
Type G28 for auto home
Type g1 x110 y110 to go to center of your bed
Type g1 z0 lower nozzle to 0
Type 211 s0 to turn software end stop off
Now you will be able to lover your nozzle below 0
Now use arrows on pronterface to lower nozzle to bed, use sheet of printer paper to have gap between nozzle and bed. Adjust Z until you get slight drag on paper.
(my z offset it is exactly -3.00) your can be different but will be between - 2 and - 3 if you use 3mm spacer between your 3d touch and bed.
Now when you nozzle drag paper, you can reed Z value from printer lcd or type M114 to read z value.
Now value of your Z you need save to eprom.
G851 Zxxx.xx (where xxx.xx its your z value from M114 or lcd in my case -3.00) hit enter
Type M500
Type M501
Type G28
Type g1 x110 y110 z0
And check your gap. I'm sure will be thickness of printing paper.
Now make test print.
Best regards
Any more questions just ask.

Hi Przepka 1985,
Thanks for the advice. I had already gleaned most of this information from the internet, but was still having problems. I was unable to move Z below
Zero. I remounted the 3D Touch using a £1.00 coin as a <>3mm spacer, and by using your advise re turning off the Z endstop, was able to reset the printer. My offset is 2.7. All working again,
Thanks again!
