After Thermal Runaway error...

I have top admit, this machine has been awesome and given very little headaches as I've heard 3D printers are famous for. Last night while printing at about 97% of a rather large print, I started hearing a louder then usual fan humming noise coming from under the bed in the control box then shortly after it was followed by the Thermal Runaway error, requiring me to reset the printer...97% ugh. Thank goodness I have a 3D pen which allowed me to rebuild that 3% and save the print. Anyways, that said, I have an interesting issue now, not sure if anyone has encountered this or know what the issue might be. Printer is printing fine, all connections checked at the back, nice and snug. When ever my heating bed is fully at the back of the machine the bed won't heat up when set to print, if I move the bed forward about an inch, the bed will heat up fine. I thought maybe it was the switch at the back that was causing it but it doesn't have to be touching the switch, as long as the bed is almost all the way back. So for me to print, I just move the bed a bit forward and start the process. I've tested the bed heating by itself, it does the same thing, if the bed is all the way back, manual heating won't work, once I move it up a bit, it will start to heat.
I'm completely out of ideas, everything else works fine, when it's printing it will sustain the bed temp. Is there a part I need to replace? or is this a warranty issue? I've only had the printer for about 4 months.
