3D Touch Problem: Autohome with z in opposite direction

Hello to everyone,
I managed to install the Marlin 1.1.8. firmware with 3D touch on my Geeetech A10 (new version). I downloaded the firmware from Geeetech's official download link. I mounted the 3D Touch and then autohomed, now the extruder goes towards both x and y endstops then the 3D touch goes in the middle of the print bed (so far so good), but instead of going down towards the bed, the printer moves the z axis upwards for two times during which it deploys the 3D Touch.
I saw some videos on YT and the 3D touch should approach the bed instead of going upwards. Correct?
How can I solve this problem?
I uploaded the firmware using both Cura 4.5 and Smatto but couldn't get the printer to autohome correctly.
If I move the Z axis it goes in the correct direction and without the 3D Touch and using the original firmware the printer works great.
Moreover I'm not an expert in programming so please bare with me
