I have had this printer just over a week and trying some test prints. In the image enclosed is what happens every time when the priint reaches about 50mm.
Can anyone suggest a possible cause of this. The printer works OK on shorter models.

If you look at the center spoke(?), you can see a horizontal line across it,the line is forming a weak spot. The broken piece on the right shows that the spoke is hollow. The simple fix would be to add more infill or make the spoke solid, so it is strong enough not to break. When the nozzle extrudes higher up on the spoke, the spoke it took week to handle the shaking and breaks. Once it is broken, the next time around there is nothing to extrude onto and makes the mess instead.

The other option is to try to tune your output and prevent the weak spots. Double check the bed is leveled and there there are no screws loose. Try 5 degrees warmer and see if the plastic melts a little better. Adjust the amount of filament deposited, which in simplify3d is the multiplier in the layer control, so rather than 100%, extrude 105% or 110%. There is also a setting on how many outlines, where adding an extra outline could also add enough strength to prevent the spoke breaking.

Setup your cell phone camera and record a video of the print. When you see the break in the spoke, you can go back and watch what the extruder did, which might give a hint what happened.

Thanks Sodium, I willtry out these fixes and let you know.
I dont suppose you have an A10 printer settings/profile to print miniatures, say upto 50mm high.

Thanks
