Layer shift and PID test

Post by Chub » Tue Feb 18, 2020 9:35 am

Suddenly I am getting layer shift after 5 layers. All of a sudden it is 75% off. I have checked belts tension and wheels. All tight. Now I can't get a print past 5 layer's. Causes?
I thought I would try tune my hotend with M303 auto tune. It ramps temp up and cools down but doesn't report back values. M303 e0, s210 c10.
Help on all fronts.

Hi,If the printing layer moves, you need to check the tightness of your belt. Too loose or too tight will affect the printing effect, and the printing speed will be reduced appropriately. Does your z-axis move normally?
-Keep your mind and try to test it. :)

Z axis moved fine. How do I adjust tightness. It seems fine but I can play around with it. Why doesn't it happen until several layers into printing?
