Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
Hello!
I recently bought a Geeetech A10M, I already done about 10 prints. Last two prints stopped in the middle and the display starts to blinking.
What could be the problem? PSU? Motherboard?
Thanks

Hi, Can you provide more specific information?
How is it printed?
SD card or online printing?
You can check if your power supply output voltage is stable 24V,
If the screen wiring is loose, you can re-plug the screen cable.
Are three lights on the motherboard?

Re: Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
Thanks for your reply!
It was printing with card inserted.
Now I'm printing with oscilloscope and multimeter attached to PSU output. For the moment the output is stable 24.2V ± 0.04V but is something that happens randomly, as a power hole during printing. I checked the flat cable that goaes from Motherboard to LCD board: I tried to move but no strange things happen.
For the moment is printing without problems, but last two times it gives me the problem after some hours of printing.
Do you need other informations? If it gives the problem another time I'll take a video.

Re: Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
Hi, This may be caused by slicing issues,
You can try printing a test file to see if this happens.

Here a video that I've found: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tHQ86Cdr6d4#menu
This is not my printer, but it seems to be identical to mine problem. Also because stepper motors were no more aligned to home point.

Re: Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
Yes, I had same thought, so I put oscilloscope at PSU output, and obviously the issue did not happened, it worked for about 10 hours perfectly.
I have to print other things so I will investigate more...
Re: Printer randomly stops and LCD start blinking
The issue of your 3D printer might be the power supply. You may want to get it checked as soon as possible buddy,
