Y motor failure after 3 weeks?

Could someone tell me what's going on with my Y motor? It grinds when moving, won't find home properly, and just goes back and forth instead of all the way forward or backward. Just started doing it out the blue, after 3 weeks out of the box. Only printed about 10 things. The track seems clear, everything clean, good tension on the belt, never adjusted it or changed it from good prints.

I can't see your video, as my browser says the certificate is invalid.....BUT the first thing you should do is to verify that the print bed moves freely WITH THE POWER OFF. if it does, then I can't help unless I can see the issue. If it does move freely, the problem is likely not mechanical.
I think the x & y motors are the same, so theoretically you could swap them to troubleshoot.
Good luck, let us know how it goes.

The bed moves freely, but the Y motor whines a little. Don't know if that's normal though. With the power on it doesn't. here's that video:

Hi, you can try moving the y-axis manually to see if you are issuing a card to determine if there is a problem with the rails.
Then check to see if your motor is working properly for a week.
You can try to swap other axis motor wires and y-axis motor wires to see if the motor wires are broken.
Or swap the driver board to see if the driver board voltage is insufficient to cause this to happen.
