A10 stepper motor magic number?

Hey all,

Just got my A10 set in its permanent place and and I am looking to print some small miniatures. I have had a good bit of success with larger prints but I am looking for more detail.

The one thing I cannot find is the magic number for the A10 stepper motors so I can set my print height to be a multiple of that number for a finer print line.

Anyone know it?

Thanks,

John.

Hi, Can you describe your problem more specifically?

I think the magic number is the same in most of the printers, most of the stepper motors used are Nema 17 of 200 max steps and our acme thread rod is the same used among all the other printers. For the Ender 3 (base model of the A10) 0.12mm is used as "magic number" I set my prints with multiples of the number and works good I never got time to use other height number and test if it really improves.

The default in Cura is (imperfect) multiples of 0.03 but I think CHEP pinned it down to 0.04.

0.12 is where those overlap so those multiples will all work but even the coarser stuff like 0.32 is cleaner than the default 0.3 in my experience.
